SUMMARY:

Volition Partners is looking for a world-class Technical Lead to join our team, where we’re pioneering applied AI in organizational dynamics and performance. This is an opportunity to build something groundbreaking—leveraging data analytics, AI, and systems thinking to quantify what makes companies thrive. You’ll be the architect and hands-on builder of the Volition Index, a B2B SaaS platform that transforms how organizations measure and optimize leadership, culture, and execution.

This is a high-upside, high-risk role for someone ready to own the technical vision and execution—from data structures to code-level problem-solving. I’m bringing my experience in building and funding successful companies, and we’re currently raising a seed round. You’ll join with a substantial equity stake to shape the future of AI-driven organizational intelligence.

The Role

We need a Technical Lead who thrives at the intersection of data science, engineering, and AI-driven decision-making. You will:

• Own the architecture of our AI-driven analytics platform

• Design and implement data models that quantify complex organizational dynamics

• Lead hands-on development, from backend systems to AI models (Python, SQL, cloud infrastructure)

• Build and optimize scalable data pipelines for structured and unstructured data

• Work closely with the founder on product vision, technical strategy, and investor communications

• Be comfortable with ambiguity—we’re building something new, and you’ll be shaping it from the ground up

 

Who You Are

• Deep engineering expertise, ideally in data science, AI/ML, and scalable SaaS architectures

• Experience designing data-driven platforms and working with large datasets

• Hands-on coder, but also able to set technical direction and scale a team

• Excited about working in an early-stage, high-risk, high-equity environment

• Passionate about how AI can transform decision-making in organizations

Experience

• 7–12 years of experience in software engineering, data science, or AI/ML development

• At least 3–5 years in a technical leadership role, leading architecture decisions and mentoring teams

• Experience in a startup or high-growth environment—someone who’s comfortable building from scratch and working with ambiguity
